New Look of Lawang Sewu
By: Ahmed on July 18th, 2011.
This is the new look of Lawang Sewu, warm, romantic, and so classic. This picture was taken from the East outdoor area of Lawang Sewu. On July 15, 2011 this area was used for Jazz di Bawah Kaki Langit, Semarang Jazzer Reunion event, performing Kemala Ayu, Sukat Puspaningrat, Donna, D.A.C , Rencang, Trio Allegro feat Alit Sinyo, Buzztard, Aljabar, and many more.
After the renovation, Lawang Sewu is not haunted and creepy anymore (almost). On Tuesday July 5, 2011 a ceremony was held in Central Java Governor’s House Wisma Perdamaian to commemorate the Semarang icon Lawang Sewu as national culture heritage by First Lady Mrs. Ani Yudhoyono and Kriya Nusantara Exhibition that was held in newly renovated Lawang Sewu building from 5-10 July 2011.
Hope all of you enjoy the new look of Lawang Sewu.

During Ramadan, the Muslim community fast, abstaining from food, drink, smoking and sex between sunrise and sunset. The goal of the fast is to teach humility, patience and sacrifice, and to ask forgiveness, practice self-restraint, and pray for guidance in the future.

Welcome to our home town.
It’s time to “Mudik” to Semarang City.
Mudik literally means going home or a return.
One of the celebrations of Lebaran is Mudik. In order to reunite with parents and families, millions of migrants from big cities like Jakarta make long journey to return to their home town by train or the other transportation.
