Sindhunata Gesit Widiharto and Gading Panjalu Wijanarko play Wayang [Javanese shadow puppet] together during “Parade Dalang Cilik Unggulan Jawa Tengah” on March 20th, 2010 at Taman Budaya Raden Saleh, Semarang.
This event was held to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Teater Lingkar, to introduce wayang to children since childhood, and to preserve the Javanese culture. We can see many little dalangs perform their ability to play wayang here.

Batik Semarangan
By: Ahmed on October 2nd, 2009.
Beautiful models wore charming and amazing Batik Semarang creations, during Batik fashion show in Semarang. This event, the “Smaradhana Batik Semarang ing Lawang Sewu”, was held on May 2nd, 2008 during the celebration of the 461st Semarang City anniversary. For further info about this event, please visit this URL.
President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has asked all Indonesians to wear batik on October 2nd, 2009 to acknowledge the listing of Batik as Indonesian Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. Batik is regarded as a cultural icon with its own uniqueness. It contains symbols and a deep philosophy of the human life cycle — and it was submitted by Indonesia as a non-material element of cultural heritage. We love to wear Batik Indonesia. Batik is truly Indonesia :).
