Takbiran

Hundred of Muslims take part in a march along Jl. Mayjend. Sutoyo, Semarang doing Takbiran.
Takbiran is parade during Idul Fitri’s eve to recite Takbir.
When Muslims finish their fast at the last day (29th or 30th Ramadhan), they recite Takbir.
Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar la ilaha illa Allah Allahu akbar,
Allahu akbar wa li-illahi al-hamd.

Martial Art Dance

Beautiful and charming dancers from Banjarnegara Regency performed martial art dance on The Central Java Art and Cultural Parade 2009 along Jalan Pahlawan, Semarang. Many dancers and performers from every regency and city of Central Java showed their best appearance to The Governor.
This event was held to celebrate the 59th anniversary of Central Java Province at August 15, 2009.
Does anyone know the name of that dance. Is it Aplang dance?
Decorated Bike Competition

Energetic children rode decorated bike along Jalan Mataram, Semarang and they were guided by their mother.
During the commemoration of the Indonesian Independence Day (August 17th), many events are usually held in Indonesia, such as traditional competition [like this], exhibition and many more.

A rose for your love

A florist picked a rose for his customer on Valentine’s Day.
The man is the one of the many florists selling roses during Valentine’s Day at the Flower Market along Jalan Kalisari [Dr. Sutomo] Semarang. He usually sells a lot of roses and gets a huge profit during the day. He sells a rose for Rp 7.500 to Rp 17.500, depending on the rose type. The price of roses is more expensive in Valentine’s Day than it usually is.
