The Great Zheng He (Cheng Ho)

This is the sculpture of Admiral Zheng He (Cheng Ho). He was a Chinese mariner of Hui ethnic, descent, explorer, diplomat and fleet admiral. Zheng He led seven expeditions to what the Chinese called “the Western Ocean” (Indian Ocean).

They are street musician on Warung Semawis [Gang Warung, Semarang China Town]. They always sing country music there to entertain the visitor of Warung Semawis.

This is the flower of Cogon Grass (Imperata cylindrica). We called it Alang-alang or Ilalang.
